PEDAGOGY
The principal method of instruction is the discussion method supplemented by lectures delivered by business executives, specialists, and experts. Discussions are intended to seek the maximum involvement of students in the classroom. Adequate emphasis is laid on daily reading, the students in developing self-reliance, expression, and power of communication, both written and oral. Cases on Indian business environment in the country help in solving numerous managerial problems. Business game and role play also supplement discussions and lectures.
THE PROGRAMME
It is a regular Post Graduate Programme redesigned and updated under the Regulations on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The MBA Programme has the following salient features:
- Five Core Courses in the First Semester with 20 Credits in total.
- Five Core Courses in the Second Semester with 20 Credits in total.
- Summer Training of 6 to 8 weeks duration after the Second Semester examination.
- Four Core Courses including Project Report and Two Elective Courses from any one Elective Group opted by the student (out of Four Elective Groups each comprising of Two Courses) in the Third Semester with 22 Credits in all.
- Four Core Courses (including Viva-Voce) and Two Elective Courses from any one Elective Group (out of Four Elective Groups) in the Fourth Semester with 22 Credits in all.

SUMMER PROJECT
At the end of the second semester, the students have to do a comprehensive project in their preferred area of specialization. The duration of this project may range from six to eight weeks and is equivalent to one full course paper. This constitutes a major component of the learning process in the programme.
